The Revista Caribeña de Investigación Educativa, RECIE (Acronym in spanish)published by the Instituto Superior de Formación Docente Salomé Ureña (ISFODOSU), stands out as an influential academic journal in the field of education. RECIE focuses on key areas such as teacher training, curriculum design, educational diagnosis, national and international educational policies, as well as effective teaching and learning processes in vulnerable environments. Its mission is to contribute to the development of theories and practical solutions to educational challenges in the Caribbean region and beyond. The journal provides researchers and education professionals with a valuable platform to share their research and advance the quality of education globally.
In alignment with Open Science principles, RECIE promotes transparency, reproducibility, and accessibility in research. Authors are encouraged to share the data, code, methods, and other materials underlying their research, enabling verification and reuse of the information.
For data storage and dissemination, authors may use institutional repositories, specialized platforms, and other recognized open-access repositories, ensuring proper data citation following SciELO guidelines. If data cannot be shared due to legal or ethical constraints, authors must indicate this in the manuscript and provide alternative access options, such as making the data available upon request.
RECIE promotes the use of open and accessible formats for data publication, facilitating consultation and reuse in future research. Shared datasets should include a variable dictionary, a description of analytical procedures, and any relevant scripts or codes, ensuring transparency and replicability of results.
Peer Review Procedure
The articles will be evaluated through the double-blind peer review system. In case of disagreement between the reviewers, a third review will be conducted. To ensure maximum objectivity and consistency, the submitted manuscript must not contain elements that reveal the authors’ identity. The final publication decision lies with the journal’s director and editor, based on the reviewers' feedback. The peer reviews are conducted through the latest version of the OJS system.
