Informed peer review
If the submission is sent to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the following instructions must be followed to ensure an anonymous review:
- The identity of the authors must not be revealed in any part of the manuscript.
- Any identifying information, such as names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or project details, should be removed from the main document.
- Authors should avoid self-citations that could reveal their identity. If necessary, citations of the authors' previous works should be referred to as "Author" and the year of publication.
- The manuscript must comply with the journal's double-blind peer review policy, where both the reviewers' and authors' identities remain confidential throughout the review process.
The peer review process follows these steps:
- Submission Reception and Preliminary Review: The editorial team assesses the relevance of the manuscript's scientific content and its alignment with the journal's objectives.
- Formal Pre-Evaluation: Authors receive communication regarding the initial formal review of their submission to ensure adherence to editorial policies within 30 days.
- Double-Blind Review: Expert reviewers evaluate the manuscript without knowing the authors' identity, within approximately 30 days.
- Communication of Review Results: The final decision and feedback from reviewers are shared with the authors within a maximum of three months.
In case of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer will be assigned to provide an additional assessment. The final decision regarding publication rests with the journal's director and editor, based on the peer review reports
