Development of Human Rights in the context of the Law of the Sea of the Law of the SeaThe text analyzes the complex situation faced by thousands of migrants when crossing the Darien Gap, a dense jungle located on the border between Colombia and Panama, which has become a crucial, but extremely dangerous step on their way to North America, where humanitarian, security and geopolitical challenges converge that require attention and coordinated action at the regional and international levels. The central hypothesis is that the Darien Gap has historically been presented as a natural barrier between Panama and Colombia, although it is currently being transformed into a strategic scenario of convergence of geopolitical, social and economic interests guided by new strategies and designs conducive to opening the Darien to international trade, geoeconomics and globalization
