Abstract
Digital scientific information faces an exponential expansion over any other production of technology and its easy accessibility means that the overwhelming amount of available data results in an information overload for people, making it difficult to filter, process and assimilate relevant information. The excess of available data makes it difficult to find accurate and relevant information for a specific task, wasting time and effort in the search for useful information. In addition, the overabundance of information online facilitates the spread of disinformation and fake news, verification of sources is difficult to verify, and the speed with which information is disseminated contributes to the creation and spread of incorrect information. Technology Watch systems are the best process for dealing with these problems, providing a systematic methodology for obtaining information, analysis and its conversion into knowledge that allows us to make decisions. In order to achieve high effectiveness in learning and an adequate use of ICT (information and communication) technologies, knowledge management is one of the most critical pillars of educational innovation today.
