The core mission of the journal Ciencia y Sociedad is to disseminate high-quality research in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, aiming to foster enriching debates on relevant social and cultural issues. It is conceived as a space that promotes the diversity of approaches and synergies among various scientific disciplines, adopting a multi- and interdisciplinary vocation. Its objective is to collect and disseminate the scientific production of the Dominican Republic, Latin America, and the Caribbean, as well as those research results generated in other global academic spaces that focus on these regions, thereby contributing to the advancement of knowledge and academic dialogue
